Summit Welcomes Chris Neyrey as Vice President for Southwest Region
Summit, a leading provider of workers’ compensation insurance services based in Lakeland, Florida, has appointed Chris Neyrey as vice president for its Southwest Region. Neyrey will succeed Hank Chiles, who plans to retire in July 2026 after a remarkable 36-year tenure at the company. With a career at Summit starting from 2006, Neyrey advanced to assistant vice president of sales by 2014 and returned to the company in 2019 as the assistant vice president of underwriting.
James Wood, Summit's president and CEO, praised Neyrey's strategic insight and commitment to agents, policyholders, and employees. Wood emphasized Neyrey's extensive experience in regulatory compliance and claims management, expecting him to support growth and expansion within the Southwest Region's insurance market. Neyrey, who holds a bachelor's degree and an MBA from Louisiana State University, also carries significant industry credentials, including CPCU, CIC, and ARe.
