Montgomery County Agent Charged with Fraud Over Fake Life Insurance Policies
In a serious breach of ethical conduct, Montgomery County insurance agent Dennis Wright has been charged with creating over 300 fraudulent life insurance policies to illicitly gain more than $600,000 in commissions.
Wright, who operated as a licensed agent for National Guardian Life Insurance, manipulated personal details and signatures from June 2020 to February 2022, not only defrauding the insurance provider but also setting up fake businesses to launder his illicit gains. His actions, which were a flagrant violation of trust and professional duty, highlight a substantial risk of fraud within the insurance sector, prompting a vigorous response from legal authorities, including significant charges of theft by deception, identity theft, and insurance fraud.
