NSM Insurance Group Sells US Commercial Division to New Mountain Capital

NSM Insurance Group has finalized its strategic sale of the US commercial insurance division to New Mountain Capital, an investment firm with a growth-oriented focus. This significant transaction, officially announced in February 2025, allows NSM to refine its operations, concentrating on its remaining direct-to-consumer insurance offerings while enabling New Mountain Capital to enhance the commercial division's growth trajectory. Following the sale, NSM will operate under two distinct brands, one for its former commercial insurance division and another for its direct-to-consumer operations, demonstrating a clear strategic shift in focus.

The sale includes NSM's portfolio, which encompasses 15 specialized insurance programs across various sectors including property & casualty and accident & health, alongside its retail brokerage, NSM Insurance Brokers.
