Lockton Strengthens Global Focus on Transaction Liability for M&A Risks
Lockton, a leading global insurance brokerage, is strengthening its focus on transaction liability by formalizing an international practice to manage risks associated with mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This initiative enhances Lockton's leadership in North America, where it has excelled in placing transaction liability policies over the past three years. By expanding its successful model internationally, Lockton aims to provide clients with advice that marries deep local market expertise and a globally consistent approach, as transactions increasingly cross jurisdictions.
The global practice is spearheaded by Lockton's U.S. Transaction Liability leadership team, including industry experts Josh Halpern, Matt Heinz, Gaurav Sud, and Eric Ziff. A key advancement in this initiative is the appointment of Mary Duffy as Head of Global Expansion and Market Strategy. Previously leading Mergers & Acquisitions Insurance at AIG, Duffy brings critical industry knowledge to Lockton, fostering technical precision and regulatory compliance across regions.
Under the leadership of Terence Montgomery, Lockton is also ramping up efforts in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, focusing on its complex regulatory landscape. Montgomery, with his 20-plus years of experience, will provide regional insights enhanced by global connectivity. This strategic focus, along with recent investments in Latin America, India, the UK, and Nordic markets, underscores Lockton's broader strategy to fortify its transaction liability capabilities worldwide, catering to the demands of sophisticated global clients.
