SCOR, a global leader in reinsurance, has announced its involvement in a new consortium of more than 10 top-tier (re)insurers. This coalition supports an innovative insurance facility targeting the AI and data center infrastructure sector. Established by Advanced Technology Assurance (ATA), the facility merges multiple traditional and emerging insurance coverages into an integrated multi-line policy.
The growing AI infrastructure market, anticipated to attract investments exceeding USD 7 trillion by 2030, benefits significantly from aggregated insurance coverage. This model aims to eliminate potential coverage gaps typical of separate policies in large, complex AI projects, offering a streamlined solution that encompasses the entire spectrum of AI and data center infrastructure needs.
SCOR’s Environmental Leadership
SCOR serves as the principal insurer for the facility’s environmental impairment liability (EIL) section, underscoring its prominent role in facilitating technological advancement while mitigating environmental risks. Additionally, SCOR extends its expertise across Cyber and Tech, Marine Cargo, and War and Terrorism lines, showcasing its comprehensive cross-class capabilities in managing various industry risks.
