CRC Group Acquires Atrium to Advance Global Specialty Underwriting

CRC Group has successfully acquired Atrium, a managing agency operating within Lloyd's of London, as part of its strategic initiative to enhance specialty underwriting capabilities and international reach. Atrium manages both Syndicate 609 and the newly launched Syndicate 2026. The company will maintain its brand identity and management team under CEO John Fowle, benefiting from CRC's commitment to underwriting excellence.

Dave Obenauer, CEO of CRC Group, reinforced the firm's dedication to client-focused services and regulatory compliance within the insurance industry. "We are expanding our international reach and leveraging our combined strengths to drive innovation and create new opportunities for collaboration across our global network," he noted. John Fowle echoed this sentiment, stating the partnership would bolster Atrium’s long-term strategy while enhancing its specialty capabilities.

This acquisition integrates CRC's wholesale specialty expertise with Atrium's prominent presence on the Lloyd's platform, creating greater opportunities for brokers, clients, and partners worldwide. A team of financial and legal advisors, including Insurance Advisory Partners LLC and Guy Carpenter Capital & Advisory, facilitated the transaction. This merger trend highlights the insurance sector's focus on expanding product offerings and scalable growth in niche markets.
