Humana Appoints Aaron Martin to Lead Medicare Advantage Division

Humana has announced that Aaron Martin will lead its Medicare Advantage division starting January. Previously a vice president at Amazon, Martin's appointment aims to unify Humana's operations under a single leadership, enhancing both efficiency and service delivery.

As part of Humana's Enterprise Leadership Team, Martin will report to both Insurance Segment President George Renaudin and CEO James Rechtin. His experience at Amazon, where he developed partnerships and improved telehealth services, is complemented by his prior role as Executive Vice President at Providence health system, focusing on healthcare technology and consumer strategies.

Humana has also outlined leadership transitions to ensure smooth operations. George Renaudin will retire by Q3 2026, assuming a strategic advisory role through the year's end. Martin is expected to succeed him as Insurance Segment President, with John Barger stepping up as President of Medicare Advantage, reporting directly to Martin. This transition is set to bolster Humana’s Medicare Advantage and Medicaid offerings, emphasizing regulatory compliance and risk management.
