Divorce in Childhood Linked to Increased Stroke Risk in Seniors
Recent research indicates that children of divorced parents may face a significantly increased risk of stroke later in life. According to a study published in the journal PLOS One, seniors whose parents divorced during their childhood or teenage years have a 61% higher likelihood of experiencing a stroke compared to those from intact families. This level of risk is comparable to well-known risk factors such as diabetes and depression.
