NFP Expands Services with Acquisition of Hamilton Insurance Agency
NFP, a leading player in the insurance industry and a subsidiary of Aon (NYSE: AON), has broadened its service offerings by acquiring Alan J. Zuccari, Inc., known as Hamilton Insurance Agency. This Fairfax, Virginia-based agency specializes in property and casualty brokerage, along with benefits management services, providing a robust suite of solutions for risk management and regulatory compliance.
Established nearly five decades ago, Hamilton has carved out a niche in the senior housing and long-term care insurance markets, positioning itself as a top independent broker nationwide. In this strategic transition, Alan Zuccari, the founding president and CEO, will step into the role of chairman emeritus. Joe Zuccari, formerly the executive vice president of Life and Health, assumes the role of senior vice president at NFP. Meanwhile, Jason Zuccari will continue as managing director, overseeing the development of a new specialized vertical within NFP, under the leadership of Ethan Foxman, the president of NFP’s Atlantic region.
Since 1982, Hamilton has fortified its standing in the DC metro area, delivering tailored insurance products and innovative risk management solutions. The Zuccari family has been instrumental in cultivating strong relationships with insurance carriers and crafting customized insurance programs for diverse clients. This acquisition, aligning with NFP’s strategic objectives, not only enhances client solutions in the DC area and beyond but also integrates Hamilton’s proprietary benefits administration platform, BeneLink Connect. Additionally, their Electronic Risk Management Assistant will augment NFP’s capabilities in managing regulatory compliance requirements and advancing client-focused risk management strategies.
