NFP Acquires Hamilton Insurance: Expansion in Senior Housing and Care
National Financial Partners (NFP) has announced its strategic acquisition of Alan J. Zuccari Inc., operating as Hamilton Insurance Agency, located in Fairfax, Virginia. Hamilton Insurance specializes in property and casualty insurance, along with benefits administration, marking NFP's significant expansion in the senior housing and long-term care sectors. This move aligns well with NFP’s focus on enhancing insurance industry solutions and regulatory compliance for their clients.
As leadership shifts, Alan Zuccari, Hamilton's founder, transitions to chairman emeritus, while Joe Zuccari becomes a senior vice president at NFP. Jason Zuccari will manage a new division, under Ethan Foxman, president of NFP Atlantic region. Foxman highlights that Hamilton’s expertise in senior living complements NFP’s mission, enhancing client value in the Washington, D.C., area and beyond.
Established in 1982, Hamilton Insurance has developed strong relationships with carriers and tailored insurance programs that integrate risk management and compliance. NFP's acquisition includes Hamilton’s advanced technology platforms like BeneLink Connect for benefits administration, and the Electronic Risk Management Assistant, enhancing payer and provider collaboration.
This acquisition reflects NFP's broader strategic initiatives, including the purchase of Bspoke Insurance Group in the UK, aimed at reinforcing their presence in the delegated authority market through advanced underwriting. Domestically, NFP continues to expand its specialty leadership, recently appointing Dave Roberts as senior vice president of surety in the Northeast region, further strengthening their regulatory compliance and claims management strategies.
