Five Bipartisan Bills Signed into Law Including Veterans Benefits Updates
President Donald Trump signed five bipartisan congressional bills into law, including measures that honor Olympic athletes and improve protections and benefits for military service members and veterans. One bill awards Congressional Gold Medals to the 1980 U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey team, recognizing their historic victory known as the "Miracle on Ice." Additional legislation mandates periodic reviews of life insurance coverage under VA programs, restricts tuition charges for Selected Reserve members, and enhances VA's repayment process when veterans' benefits are misused by fiduciaries. Another law updates the federal charter for the Foundation of the Federal Bar Association, allowing certain corporate regulations to be governed by the foundation's bylaws rather than federal statute.
