Northumberland County Hosts Free Medicare Basics Workshop in January

The Northumberland and Snyder/Union County Medicare Education and Decision Insight (MEDI) in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Aging will conduct a free educational workshop titled "Get Ready for Medicare: The Basics for People Who Are Joining." Scheduled for January 23, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Northumberland County Human Services building in Sunbury, the workshop aims to assist individuals new to Medicare in understanding their coverage options and enrollment processes. This initiative is part of ongoing community outreach efforts to improve Medicare literacy amongst future beneficiaries. Workshops such as this contribute to increased awareness of Medicare regulations, compliance requirements, and optimal plan selections, directly impacting healthcare providers and payers. Additionally, these educational sessions support regulatory goals by promoting informed decision-making and reducing potential enrollment errors that can affect claims processing and reimbursement cycles. The event is positioned as a critical resource for approaching Medicare eligibility and transitions, benefiting insured individuals and insurance professionals alike.
