Nepal Life Insurance Claim Payments Increase 13.67% in Recent Four Months

In the past four months, life insurance companies have paid out over Rs 14.59 billion in claim settlements to insured individuals and their dependents in Nepal, marking a 13.67 percent increase from the previous year. The average claim amount stands at Rs 2,190, with 72,915 claims processed, representing an 8.40 percent rise in the number of claims paid year-over-year. While Rs 62,579 has been disbursed, about Rs 5.04 billion in claims remains unpaid during this period, reflecting ongoing liabilities for the life insurance sector.
