Cheche Group Advances Digital Auto Insurance via Integration with China’s 12123 Platform
Cheche Group Inc., a leading Chinese auto insurance technology platform, has partnered with FAW Bestune Automobile Sales Branch and Jilin Dingjia Automotive Business Service Co. of China FAW Group, a major state-owned automaker in China. This collaboration integrates Cheche's insurance services with China's official 12123 traffic management platform, enabling vehicle owners to purchase new car insurance and apply for temporary license plates digitally. The 12123 platform is a government portal facilitating digital driver's license applications, vehicle registrations, traffic violation payments, and vehicle inspections. Cheche's integrated services for FAW Bestune streamline the digital workflow of vehicle purchase, insurance issuance, and temporary plate registration, thus enhancing efficiency in vehicle delivery. This advancement underscores Cheche's role in providing end-to-end digital insurance solutions and its aim to expand similar integrations to other automakers in the future. Currently, the service operates in pilot cities with plans for nationwide rollout pending regulatory alignment and infrastructure readiness. Founded in 2014 with a broad network across 25 provinces in China, Cheche specializes in data-driven digital insurance transactions and SaaS solutions, positioning itself as a technology enabler in the automotive insurance market. This development reflects broader trends in digital transformation within auto insurance and regulatory compliance, emphasizing seamless payer-provider interactions through official government platforms in China’s auto industry.
