Linn County Worksite Wellness Roundtable Addresses Health Insurance and Cannabis Policies

The Linn County Worksite Wellness Committee (LCWWC) is hosting a Worksite Wellness Roundtable aimed at helping business leaders understand key health insurance benefit changes and workplace cannabis policies. The event will cover federal and state programs including Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, ACA Marketplace, and employer-sponsored health insurance, and their influence on workforce health and stability. Additionally, the Roundtable will address employer challenges regarding cannabis use, including distinctions between CBD and THC, legal products in Iowa, and emerging workplace trends. Participating employers can also enroll in a free Worksite Wellness Assessment to evaluate and enhance workplace health policies, with a focus on small businesses in Linn County. The LCWWC is a coalition of healthcare professionals and public health representatives dedicated to promoting healthier workplaces in the region.
