Nepal Life Insurers Invest Rs 789.82 Billion Across Diverse Financial Sectors

Life insurance companies in Nepal have collectively invested approximately Rs 789.82 billion across various sectors as reported in the first quarter of fiscal year 2082. Nepal Life Insurance leads with Rs 202.58 billion invested, followed by Life Insurance Corporation with Rs 119.57 billion. Other significant investors include Himalayan Life Insurance and National Life Insurance with Rs 82.01 billion and Rs 70.62 billion, respectively. Investment portfolios include government bonds and debentures valued at Rs 9.73 billion, fixed deposits in commercial banks amounting to Rs 544.87 billion, and fixed deposits in development and infrastructure banks as well as finance companies. Additionally, Rs 71.01 billion is allocated to preference shares, bonds, and debentures of banks and financial institutions.
