Texas Funeral Home Chairman Indicted for Fraudulent Life Insurance Practices

Joshua Henry Anderson Sr., chairman of Rosewood Funeral Home in Longview, Texas, has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of fraud involving a life insurance policy. The indictment alleges that in November 2018, Anderson pressured a senior woman into signing a life insurance policy without her true consent, resulting in financial harm. Additionally, he is accused of misappropriating funds entrusted to him for a prepaid funeral contract, using the money for other purposes. The life insurance policy, valued at $10,350, was taken out on behalf of an 85-year-old woman with Rosewood Funeral Home as the beneficiary. Anderson was arrested, posted bond, and released shortly thereafter.
