Last Day for CSRS Employees to Increase Pension Annuity
The Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) stopped accepting new employees after December 31, 1983. Employees under CSRS can earn a retirement annuity up to 80% of their highest three years of salary after nearly 42 years of service. November 30 marks the final day for current regular employees under CSRS to increase their pension percentage; post this date, further contributions made while continuing employment will only be refundable and will not enhance their annuity.
