Selective Insurance Appoints Julie Parsons to Board to Enhance Strategic Leadership

Selective Insurance Group, Inc. appointed Julie Parsons to its board of directors, expanding the board to 12 members with 11 independents.

Parsons brings over 30 years of insurance expertise from Allstate, where she held executive roles overseeing product development, digital transformation, and operations in both commercial and personal lines. Her background includes leadership as EVP and COO of Property and Liability Insurance at Allstate, managing large teams and driving business insurance and brokerage operations.

Parsons' career began as an actuarial analyst and progressed through senior management and actuarial roles, including EVP of Product Operations and Allstate's first VP, Chief Actuary. A Purdue University actuarial science graduate, Parsons is expected to enhance Selective's strategic direction, especially in underwriting, product innovation, and operational efficiency. The appointment reflects Selective's focus on strengthening board expertise to support long-term growth and shareholder value.
